This page lists the cookies Cobalt Scout sets and what each one is for. We don't use advertising cookies or sell data to ad networks.

Essential cookies

These are required for Cobalt Scout to work and can't be switched off:

• Authentication session — set by our authentication provider (Clerk) to keep you signed in.
• Sidebar preference (sidebar_state) — remembers whether the search filters sidebar is open or collapsed. Purely a UI preference, no personal data.

Analytics cookies

In production only, we use PostHog (hosted in the EU) to understand how Cobalt Scout is used — which features get clicked, where people drop off — so we can improve the product. A PostHog cookie is set from your first visit. Anonymous visitors are never linked to a personal profile until they sign in. Staging and preview deployments don't run analytics at all.

Managing cookies

Most browsers let you block or delete cookies in their settings — that's the way to opt out of analytics cookies today. Blocking essential cookies will break sign-in and core functionality. You can also email info@cvrex.com to ask us to exclude your visits.
